12 Matcha NYC is a NoHo-based café entirely devoted to matcha — with no coffee on the menu at all. Matcha is not an alternative here, but the core philosophy. Their signature offerings include a beautifully balanced matcha latte, a rich matcha Basque cheesecake, and a delicate matcha ice cream, each highlighting a different expression of the ingredient.

The interior is calm and refined, built around natural materials and soft light. A wooden staircase with glass railings subtly defines the space, adding a sense of vertical flow and quiet elegance.

During our visit, the team kindly invited us into their private tasting room, a space closed to the public. Immersed in this quiet, atmospheric setting, it became clear how deeply their process is rooted in care, intention, and genuine love for matcha. It’s less about a quick drink and more about experiencing matcha as a ritual.
